Python Falls

Near the volcano itself you can swim in the amazingly beautiful Piton Falls. Tourists climbing the mountains usually stop at the waterfall to refresh themselves after a long climb. There are three pools under the waterfall: with slightly lukewarm water, with mineral hot water and rather cool water.

Diamond Falls Botanical Garden

In the Botanical Garden of Saufriere there are mineral baths, built back in 1784 for the treatment of soldiers of the army of the French King Louis XVI in healing water. The baths are surrounded by luxurious gardens filled with tropical plants and exotic birds. The huge Diamond Falls, flowing from the adjacent volcano, is also located in this garden. The natural beauty of this historical place cannot be ignored.

Volcano and sulfur springs

Not far from the town of Saufrière, there is another one of the main attractions of the island - the only volcano in the world that you can enter and examine from the inside. Although the volcano is dormant, the bubbling hot lava, steam and strong smell of sulfur hint that it could awaken at any moment.

The water in this area is believed to have healing powers, and tourists are allowed to swim for free in the river that flows next to the volcano. Many local residents come to these waters to cure illness or simply improve their health. Tours are conducted here, and the guide explains the natural phenomenon of these places.
