The phrase “elite vacation” can describe vacations on almost any of the Caribbean islands. The incomparable Caribbean Sea, rich colors, vivid impressions, supported by excellent service and varied leisure activities - a miracle, in a word. Only on the island of Mustique, a holiday is literally elite, without allegory - for the elite, as people of royal blood, world-famous stars and simply very wealthy people relax in a picturesque private estate. That’s why the conditions for famous people are as luxurious as possible.

The radiant baby hid in the island ridge of the Grenadines, which belongs to an independent state Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The coveted territory is being washed, the area of which is just over five and a half square meters. km (2.5 km long, about 5 wide), the fertile Caribbean Sea, the highest point of the island reaches almost one hundred and fifty meters. From Bequia to the elite land is about 11 km in a southeast direction.
There are only three tiny settlements on Mustique: the villages of Britania Bay, Lovell, and Dover. Just over eight hundred people live in them, engaged in serving and entertaining high-ranking guests.
Rest on Mustique
Absolutely everything here is aimed at a luxurious, highly organized vacation: the fastest yachts, super professional instructors, excellent SPA centers, thoroughbred horses, a tennis club, exquisite delicacies, sleek beaches, the most modern equipment and a complete absence of prying eyes. The idea of creating a wonderful refuge from stress was originally this: relaxation from the hustle and bustle, getting rid of depression, solitude and disconnection from civilization. No, all the benefits are fully present, only on the island you cannot see a single communication pipe, as well as a telegraph pole, a satellite dish, an electrical wire - they are hidden underground or decorated to match the landscape.
Since 1958, when the territory was purchased from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the island has had several owners. Now there is more than one owner of charming Mustique - they have created a kind of joint stock company and the richest businessmen from seventeen countries make decisions together.
The nature of the Mustique
The Caribbean island owes its appearance to a massive volcanic eruption that occurred millions of years ago. Thanks to the constant care of professionals, the nature of this fantastic region remains pristine. Man has a hand in the Mustique ecosystem, in a good way. The territory, which initially did not have a lush fauna, is now being actively planted with orange groves, coconut trees and other exotic vegetation, and the fragrant charm of tropical flowers does not leave even male star hearts indifferent. Only the latest technologies for water purification and extraction, waste recycling are used here, and solar panels are used for the operation of electrical appliances.
Seven beautiful beaches, majestic landscapes, generous coastal waters, colorful birds, turtle families, nimble iguanas - this is, of course, great, but there is one more fact that contributes to the popularity of elegant Mustique. Wise nature took care of the favorable location of the island - it is unknown to destructive hurricanes, typhoons and storms.
Attractions Mustique
It is more appropriate to talk not about the sights, but about the features of the sunny pearl, which the Caribbean is proud of, not without reason.
• Conventional means of transportation are not provided; you can conquer the island only on golf carts.
• There is not a single asphalt path.
• Those who like to sunbathe and splash around get to the picturesque beaches on foot, which is clearly not tiring, given the compact dimensions of the land.
• Partially or completely naked sunbathing on the beach is prohibited; moreover, a bathing suit without any cover on top is also bad manners.
• No noise of any kind.
• There is no police as such on Mustique, the coast is unobtrusively patrolled by the British military, plus celebrities arrive with personal security. By the way, in the entire modern history of the miracle island, only one crime has been recorded - a French woman was killed in her own villa, and even then more than 15 years ago.
• There are exactly 114 houses here and further architectural expansion is not even being considered. Each building is unique: a hut a la Africa, a Chinese residence, Art Nouveau, Moroccan style, a French palace, an Italian palazzo, etc. The roofs should not be higher than the trees.
• On Mustique there are only three (but what!) restaurants, several boutiques, two hotels and a bar.
• Most of the villas, even if they are owned, are rented out, but the owners themselves may appear for two or three weeks a year.
• The guests were: David Bowie, Kate Moss, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Ford, the Guinness family, Paul McCartney, Bill Gates, Robbie Williams, Prince William and his wife Kate, Bryan Adams, Liz Hurley, and Mick Jagger, the owner of the villa.
When is the best time to go to Mustique
At any time - in such conditions there is no need for the rainy season, which traditionally falls in the summer-autumn for the Caribbean. But it is still preferable to postpone the trip until the best period - from mid-winter to May. The average annual air temperature is 25-30˚.
In theory, anyone can find themselves in a blooming Eden; the apartments, as mentioned above, are available for rent. It’s just a matter of little things: submit an application, get the go-ahead, accumulate the amount in yuan. that is, with several zeros and - hello, fairy tale! In other words, as long as Mustique exists, there is definitely something to strive for.
